She was born Sept. 5, 1897, in Chicago, Ill., the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Nicholas Molitor. She married Matthew W. Gagen Sept. 30, 1941 in Malta.
They moved to the Whitewater area and she worked at the Coast to Coast Store in Malta for many years. Her husband died Jan. 8, 1972.
Mrs. Gagen was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church and the Altar Society.
Survivors include a son, Willliam Krist of Salt Lake City, Utah; three grandchildren and four great-grandchildren..
Services will be at noon Thursday in St. Mary's Catholic Church, Msgr. Martin Werner officiating. Burial was in the Malta cemetery.
Adams-Bell Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
