Mrs. George O'Boyle, Miss Lorraine Long and Mr and Mrs James Minor, went to Menominee to attend the funeral Wednesday of their aunt, Mrs. Amelia Solway, 77, who died at Chicago Monday after several months' illness.
Mrs. Solway, a daughter of the late John Long, Sr., pioneer shoemaker here {Sturgeon Bay, WI} was born in this city November 27, 1868. She lived most of her life at Menominee and in Chicago, where she went 25 years ago.
Her husband, Alfred, died at Menominee many years ago.
Surviving are a son Ernest of Menominee; three daughters: Miss Florence Solway; Mrs. Daniel Brennan and Mrs. Edward Lehman of Chicago, Illinois; five grandchildren; a sister Mrs. Charles Jackson of Madison, Wis., and a brother Joseph Long of St. Paul, Minn.
