Mrs. Hiram Stevens, age 68 of 1520 Ludington Street, [Marinette, WI], died this morning at the Pine View Health Care Center in Peshtigo [WI] where she had been a resident for two days.


The former Lucille Bruso was born August 8 1911, in Stephenson, Michigan.

She was married to Ray Parrett. He died in 1944.

She later was married to Carmen Compney. He died in 1955.

She was married to Hiram Stevens in 1958.

Mrs. Stevens had been employed by the former Boreal Glove Co. for many years.


Surviving are her husband Hiram;

two sons: Raymond Parrett and Ronald Compney, both of Menominee, Michigan;

a stepson William Stevens of Pembine, WI;

two daughters: Mrs. Alfred Schultz of Wallace, MI and Mrs. Belvas Smith of Milpitas, California;

two stepdaughters: Mrs. Phillip Paske of Tomahawk, Wisconsin and Mrs. Donald Emery of Lockport, Illinois;

three brothers: Clifford Bruso of Marinette, WI; Clement Bruso of Menominee, MI and Arthur Bruso of Canada 2/17/1904-4/13/1993];

a sister Mrs. Delina Lingo {sic Lingle} of Antigo, WI;

22 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.


Friends may call from 4 to 9 pm Sunday at the Lemieux Funeral home of Menominee. Services will be held there at 11 am Monday. The Rev. Norman Clisch will officiate. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery.
