Mildred Frances Owens, age 69, lifelong resident of Winfield, Tennessee, passed away on 14 Mar 2002, at Park West Medical Center in Knoxville, Tennessee. She was preceded in death by her parents, Arthur and Mahala Neice Miller Strunk, a sister Katherine Strunk Ball; and three brothers, Bill Strunk, Edward Strunk, and Harold Abraham Strunk. She is survived by a son, Estle Owens and wife Barbara of Cincinnati, Butler, Ohio; one daughter Robin Rice and husband, Danny, of London, Ky.; five grandchildren, and one brother, Kenneth Strunk and wife Eva, of Strunk, Kentucky. Ocie Lay and Mazel Strunk; and numerous other relatives. Funeral service was conducted on March 17, 2002 at the Highway Baptist Church which her father started many years ago. Rev. Jack Chitwood officiating. Music was provided by the Jack Chitwood Singers. Interment followed in Perkins Cemetery. West-Murley Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
