MR. EDWARD LEROY BAREBO, 80, of Huntington, died on Saturday, August 23, 2003, at St. Mary's Medical Center. Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Our Redeemer Lutheran Church, Huntington, W.Va., by Pastor Mark Kloha. Burial will be at Hillcrest Cemetery, Kenova. He was a retired clerk with the U.S. Postal Service and a veteran of the U.S. Army serving in World War II. He was the last founding member of Our Redeemer Lutheran Church, a member of Howard P. Hall Post 1064 VFW and AARP. He was born on December 22, 1922, in Defiance, Mo., the son of the late Kenneth and Ida Clara Thoele Barebo. He was preceded in death by his three brothers, Champion, Willard and Robert Barebo; and three sisters, Virgie Dillon, Rosemary Deroy and Josephine Jeffries. He is survived by his wife, Fay Scarberry Barebo; two sons and daughters-in-law, Doug and Peggy Barebo of Huntington and Dr. Ronald and Robin Barebo of Paducah, Ky.; two daughters and a son-in-law, Judy Allie and Terry Grambsch of Cincinnati, Ohio, and Pat Childers of Huntington; grandchildren and spouses, Edward and Aisela Allie, Janet and Dave Cain, Kelly Childers, Tyler Childers, Jason and Abigail Barebo, Justin Barebo, Jacob Barebo, Connor Barebo, Jenna Barebo and Stephen Grambsch; great-grandchildren and spouses, Ethan and Isabel Cain and Darcie Childers; and one sister, Dorothy Kuchler of St. Charles Missouri.
