Mary LaMoyne Shalley was the daughter of Margaret Ethel (Ball) and Clay Shalley. She was born Sept. 17, 1908, in the Rockville area near Hollandsburg. Sister to Olive LaVaughn and Elizabeth Mae.

LaMoyne married Frank Raney on March 7, 1927, in Marion County, Indiana. Frank Raney died of blackpox in May 1927. He is buried in Mount Moriah Cemetery. Source: Mount Moriah Cemetery caretaker's notebook on page 1927 "Lamoynes Husband, Indpls." in Rockville Library. I believe he is buried beside LaMoyne's parents under her cenotaph.

LaMoyne married Roy Campbell after 1931 and was stepmother to Marguerite Lorene Campbell. Clay and Ethel Shalley raised Marguerite after the death of her mother Hattie. LaMoyne and Roy had divorced in September 1941.

LaMoyne married William Lloyd Blackall after September 1941. William Lloyd Blackall registered for a World War II Draft Card in Rockville, Indiana in 1942. LaMoyne and Bill along with Ralph and Golda Alexander (Hollandsburg) traveled to Oak Ridge, Tennessee to work during the war.

Mary LaMoyne Blackall married Arthur M. Pearson on May 13, 1956. She and her husband farmed near Crawfordsville for several years. She had worked for two years at the telephone company at Bainbridge. Mrs. LaMoyne Pearson was living in Caldwell, Texas in 1968.

LaMoyne Pearson died in Bloomington Hospital in Bloomington, Indiana. She had been in poor health for several months and was in the hospital for one day. She had lived in Gosport, Indiana, for about the past four years.

She had four step-daughters, Clara Marie Biddle, Marjorie Tribbet, Kay Bryan and Mary Maltsberger. She was a member of the Christian Church. Surviving are her husband; three daughters, Mrs. Richard Biddle of Crawfordsville, Mrs. Max Tribbet of Darlington and Mrs. James Bryan of Linden and a stepdaughter, Mrs. Dale Maltsberger of Crawfordsville. She was preceded in death by a sister.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday in Bright and Burkhart Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Masonic Cemetery at Waynetown.

Arthur Pearson is buried by his first wife in the Masonic Cemetery at Waynetown, Indiana.

A memorial cenotaph headstone was placed in Mount Moriah Cemetery beside her parents and sister.
