Mr. Charles David Smith of Forrest City died Oct. 20, 1990, he was 67. Mr. Smith was born Jan. 18, 1923 in Mississippi. He had lived in St. Francis Co. most of his life, and was a retired farmer. He was a veteran of WW II, a member of Widener Baptist Church, VFW, and American Legion. He leaves four daughters, Lola Ponder of Forrest City, Charlotte Barrnett and Belinda Hollis, both of Wynne, and Sharon Hicks of Proctore; three sons, Larry Smith of Waverly, Tenn., David Smith of Hot Springs, and Chris Smith of Santa Rosa, California; two sisters, Pearl Smith and Gracie Woods, both of Forrest City; a brother, Carl Smith of Forrest City; and 11 grandchildren. Funeral services at Stevens FH Chapel with Rev. D. C. McAfee officiating with burial in Loughridge Cemetery.
