Memorial Services for Kenneth G. Scott have been scheduled for 10:00 AM, Friday, March 9, 2012 at Hayhurst Funeral Home Chapel in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma. Burial will follow at the National Cemetery in Ft. Gibson, Oklahoma under the direction of Hayhurst Funeral Home.
Kenneth Gerald Scott was born September 13, 1948 in Charlotte, North Carolina the son of Joe Houston and Charlotte (Green) Scott. Kenneth died Saturday, March 3, 2012 at St. Francis Hospital in Tulsa, Oklahoma. He was 63 years of age.
Kenneth was a 1966 graduate of Canton, Pennsylvania High School. He was a veteran of the United States Air Force, having served during the Vietnam War. He moved to the Broken Arrow area in 1982. He married the former Miss Patty Seippel on July 6, 1985 in York, North Carolina. For the last two years Kenneth was employed in sales by the Waggoner Trucking Company for the Truckload Division in Tulsa. From 1979 through 2009 he worked for Arrow Trucking Co. of Tulsa. He started as a truck driver and was serving as an Executive Vice President at the time of their closing. After his discharge from the Air Force until 1979 he worked as a supervisor over heavy equipment for pipeline companies in Wyoming. He was a simple man whose greatest pleasures were his home and his work. He will be missed.
