Mother: Hettie Evelyn Tripp Stallings
DEEP RUN - Hettie "Marie" Stallings Harrell, 62, of Deep Run, went home to be with Jesus on Sunday, Oct. 2, 2011. Born in Beaufort County on Nov. 6, 1948, she was the daughter of the late Thomas Troy Stallings, Jr. and Hettie Evelyn Tripp Stallings.
Marie worked with Modular Technologies, Inc as their accountant. She was a member of Deep Run Original Free Will Baptist Church and was involved for years with Relay For Life.
Survivors include her husband, Don Harrell; son, Don Graham Harrell, Jr.; daughters, Donna Harrell Jarman and husband Hank and Bobbie Jeanne Harrell Harper and husband Lane; 4 grandchildren, Hannah and Joseph Jarman, Zach and Garrett Harper; sister, Barbara Ann Stallings Moody; brothers, Jimmy Stallings and wife Jeannie and John Stallings, all of Kinston; her aunt, Helen Stallings Mitchem of Mebane; and special friends, Judy Harrison, Berry Pittman and Marty Herrin.
Visitation will be held from 7 to 9 p.m. Monday, Oct. 3, 2011, at Howard-Carter Funeral Home. A celebration of life service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 4, 2011, at Deep Run Original Free Will Baptist Church with Pastor Hank Jarman and Pastor Josh Whitfield officiating. Burial will follow at the church cemetery. Flowers are welcome or memorials may be made to the Relay For Life.
