Anna Mae (Durling) Gay, age 88, died Saturday, Feb. 25, 2012, at her home surrounded by the comfort of her loving family. She was the daughter of the late Kenneth and Anna (McCarthy) Durling. Anna Mae was born Aug. 11, 1923, in Brockton. She was a graduate of Brockton High School, Class of 1941. She and her husband Kenny were married Feb. 2, 1948, in Brockton. She bad been a Foxborough resident since 1965. She was a former employee of the Fore River Shipyard and New England Tel & Tel. She and her husband were the owners and operators of Kenny's Appliance in Foxborough for the past 49 years, retiring in 2011. Anna Mae was a former member, secretary and moderator for the Warren Ave. First Baptist Church in Brockton. She was a member/treasurer of the Inshugo Circle Women's Club in Brockton and the Foxboro Rotary Club. She was an avid reader and enjoyed world travel with her husband. Beloved wife of Kenneth Gay Sr., she was the loving mother of the late Kenneth Gay Jr. and his wife Patricia Gay of Mansfield, Dianne Giordano of Getzville, N.Y., Michael and his wife Sherill Gay of Douglas and Daniel Gay of Stoughton; loving grandmother of Doreen, Shawn, Tracy, Matt, Andrew and Michael; great-grandmother of nine; and great great-grandmother of three. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend calling hours Wednesday, Feb. 29, from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Roberts and Sons Funeral Home, 30 South St., Foxborough.
