From the Van Wert Independent: Myrna K. Riley, 84, of Van Wert, died at 11:08 a.m. Friday, August 19, 2005, at Van Wert County Hospital in Van Wert. She was born March 11, 1921, in Van Wert County, the daughter of the late Herbert E. and Golda(Carmean) Thatcher. She first married Elderd F. Brittsan, who died January 28, 1945. She then married Joseph D. Riley, who died May 23, 1981. Mrs. Riley retired from Aeroquip Corporation (Eaton) in Van Wert. She was a member of Calvary Evangelical Church in Van Wert. Survivors include two sons, two brothers, two sisters, seven grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Merlin and Graydon Thatcher; a sister, Marilyn Callow, and a grandson.
