Infection From Pin Scratch Fatal to Miss Charlotte Powell
Miss Charlotte Powell, who made her home with her brother and sister-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. William G. Bechtel, at Felton avenue and Spring street, Sharon Hill, and a member of an old Darby family, died yesterday afternoon in Taylor Hospital, Ridley Park, following an operation several days before for the removal of her right arm; made necessary from an infection developing from a pin prick in her thumb.

Powell, of New York; Mrs. Bessie Hurd, wife of Victor Hurd, of Elmira, N.Y.; Mrs. Helen Foster, wife of Norman Foster, of Springfield. Three brothers, Joseph, of Bryn Athyn; Ralph of Bristol, and George, of Ridley Park, also survive.
