Allie was born in Cowley County, Kansas. Her parents went with the 89ers to Oklahoma.

Obituary: "Funeral services for Mrs. Allie Bell Engeman, 80, who died yesterday at the Goodman nursing home, will be held at the Harouff-Buis chapel at 2 P.M. Wednesday, the Rev. Max Barnes officiating. The casket will be closed at the beginning of the service. Friends may call at the Harouff-Buis mortuary after 2 P.M. today. Burial will be at Oak Hills cemetery. Pallbearers will be grandsons, Virgil Reichle, Springfield, Mo., Ralph Reichle, Cummings, Phillip and Gene Engeman, Atchison, Edward Weber of Blair and Johnny Kirkland, Wathena. She was born in Cowley County, August 24, 1881, a daughter of Charles and Lillie Huff Burright. On Jan. 12, 1900, she was married to John Engeman of Kingfisher, Okla. He died here July 20, 1942. She was a member of the Methodist church. Surviving are four daughters, Mrs John (Ruth ) Kirkland and Mrs Nora Weber, both of Wathena. Mrs. Merton (Opal) Henry, Alcester, S.D., and Mrs Ralph (Grace) Reichle, Cummings; four sons Joe, Albany, Ore.; Clarence, Wathena, and Walt and Charles, Atchison; 40 grandchildren, 55 great grandchildren, three sisters, Mrs Nora Christner, Minco, Okla; Mrs. Ruth Christner and Mrs Edith Christner, both of Oklahoma City, and a brother Ernest Burright, Oklahoma City, Okla.(Src: The Atchison Daily Globe, March 11, 1962.)
