Successful from the very beginning, he soon built a modern factory building to house the production of his wholesale trade of quality 5-cent cigars, branded as "Telegram," "U.S. Capitol," "Full Guarantee," "El Mundo De Key West," "The Forester," "Commercial Traveler," and "Kryshak's Capitol." But, interestingly, his best-known cigar was "La Palenta," with each box of cigars having a colored photo of Mr. Kryshak on its inside cover. Next door to his factory, at 303 Third Street, his retail store carried a large selection of cigars, pipes and smoking supplies.
For about five years Mr. Kryshak was active in the life and fire insurance business, operating with a partner under the firm name of Kryshak and Marshall. The partnership was dissolved when his cigar business expanding, requiring more of his time.
Anton Kryshak was active in community affairs with memberships in the Chamber of Commerce, Knights of Columbus, The Elks, the Eagles, the Catholic Knights of Wisconsin and the United Commercial Travelers.
Mr. Kryshak was married in 1899 to Miss Mary Olszewski in Milwaukee. For about 17 years she served a Milwaukee district in the State Legislature. In their marriage they were blessed with three children.
Anton Kryshak died on June 15, 1953. He is buried in St. Joseph's Catholic Cemetery in Wausau, WI.
