Irene "Houdie" Wilson Berry

BLUE HILL - Services for Irene "Houdie" Wilson Berry, 66, of McBride, who died Sunday, July 13, 2003, at River Regional Medical Center in Vicksburg, will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Mark Baptist Church with the Rev. Dexter Jones officiating.

Burial will be in the St. John Baptist Church cemetery in Pattison under the direction of Spencer Funeral Home.

She was a resident of McBride and a member of St. Mark Missionary Baptist Church where she was on the mother board.

Mrs. Berry was preceded in death by her husband, Elbert Berry Sr.; three daughters, Mary E. (Peggy) Berry, Rosetta Betty Berry and Zula M. Ward; four brothers, V.L. Wilson, Mammon Wilson, James Wilson and Wiley Wilson III; two sisters, Octavia Johnson and Mary Eliza Perkins.

Survivors include three daughters, Evangelist Josephine Freeman of Caseyville, Susie Ann Robertson of Pattison and Lillie Walker of Vicksburg; three sons, Elbert Berry Jr. of Pattison, Edward L. Berry Sr. of Fayette and Nathan Berry of Russum; one brother-in-law, Kelly Dee Sr.; three aunts, Josie Wilson, Everline White and Thelma Wilson; 33 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren; and a number of other relatives and friends including the Wrens, Rankin, Thomas, Berry, Wilson, Reed, Trevillion, Shorter, Hedrick and Burnette families.
