Miss Margaret S. Bridge, 56, daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Erasmus Bridge of Franklin OH, former executive secretary of the Young Women's league in Dayton OH and widely known in educational and social welfare circles, died March 16, 1944 in Los Angeles CA, at the home of her sister Helen Pohlman. Margaret attended school in Franklin and was graduated from Miami University in Oxford OH. She did postgraduate work at Columbia University and received her master's degree from the University of Chicago. She taught school in Darke County OH and in Oregon and engaged in social welfare work in Chicago. She directed the hostess house in Newport News VA during WWI and did freelance writing for newspapers and other publications. In 1930 she went to Black Hills SD to become the dean of girls at State Teachers College at Spearfish. She also was owner and director of Rim Rock Lodge and companion camps for boys and girls. She also assumed supervision of the soldiers' food and housing at the school.
