Obituary: MRS. NORA WEBER, 62
Mrs Nora Weber, 62, died Friday at a St. Jo hospital, following a long illness. Born in Enid, Okla., she came to Doniphan county when a small child and had spent most of her life in the Wathena area.
Mrs. Weber was a member of the Zion United Church of Christ and a member of the church guild. She had been a news correspondent for The Wathena Times for approximately the past ten years, writing items for "District 37".
Survivors include five daughters, Mrs. William Rotterman of St. Jo, Mrs. Frank Engemann of Troy, and Mrs. Mary Rotterman, Mrs. Woodrow Thornton, all of Wathena; a son, Edward Weber of Wathena; three sisters, Mrs. John Kirkland of Wathena, Mrs. Merton Henry of Hawarden, IA., and Mrs. Ralph Reichle of Cummings; three brothers, Charles Engeman of Horton, Walter Engeman of Hiawatha, and Joseph Engeman of Albany, Ore., and 15 grandchildren.
She is also survived by a brother-in-law, Henry Weber, who made his home with Mrs. Weber following his mother's illness and death when he was 14-years old.
Services were Monday afternoon at the Zion United Church of Christ. The Rev. Milton Haedt and Rev. Julius Rechtermann officiated. Mrs. Victor Gabriel and Mrs. Laverne Wiedmer were the vocalists, accompanied by Mrs. Herman Moskau, organist. Burial was in the church cemetery.
Pallbearers were John Kirkland, Donald Kirkland, Francis Engeman, Arden Bauman, Charles Ramsel and Ralph Reichle.
