Obituary: WALTER E. WEBER, 59, DIES MONDAY. Walter E. Weber, 59, died Monday morning of a heart attack while working near Wathena. Mr. Weber had been a Doniphan count road patrolman since 1951. Born at Wathena, Mr. Weber was a life long resident of this community. He was a member of the Evangelical and Reform Church. Survivors include his wife, Mrs Nora Weber of the home; one son, Edward Weber of Blair; five daughters, Mrs. Virginia Thorton and Mrs Betty Sigrist, both of Wathena, Mrs. Pearl Rotterman of St. Jo, Mrs. Mary Rotterman of the home and Mrs. Esther Engeman of Troy; two sisters, Mrs Jake Jones of St. Jo and Mrs Ivan Ladd of Atchison; two brothers Henry Weber of Wathena and Milton Weber of the state of California and 14 grandchildren. Preceding him in death were his father, Emanuel Weber in 1933; his mother Katie Ramsel Weber in 1935 and a brother, Charles in 1959.
Funeral services were held Wednesday (today) at 2 P.M. at the Evangelical and Reformed Church. Rev. Gerald Nolte officiated. Mrs Victor Gabriel and Mrs Laverne Wiedmer were the vocalists, accompanied by Mrs Harlan Moskau, pianist. Burial was in Smith Creek cemetery.
Pallbearers were Chester Lewis, Charles Ramsel, Leonard Stunz, Arden Bauman, Henry Sigrist and Walter Euler.
