THEODORE O. BISHOP
Friends of Theodore Own Bishop, 72, may call at the Hartzler-Gutermuth Funeral Home after 4 p.m. Tuesday.
Mr. Bishop died early this morning at his home at 609 Garfield. He had been ill since June 4.
An Elkhart resident for 50 years, he was born January 02, 1893, in New Troy, Michigan. He married the former Viva Smith here Nov. 27, 1916. She died May 29, 1963.
Mr. Bishop was an inspector for the New York Central system, retiring in December 1963.
He was a member of the EUB Church of the Good Shepherd and the Elkhart Conservation Club.
Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Jay (Hazel) Winer; a son, Floyd, Osceola; five grandchildren, and a brother, Walter.
The Rev. Donald Abbey will have charge of funeral services at 1 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Prairie Street Cemetery.
