J. J. Crosley Dies at Bokchito

Funeral rites were held at the Bokchito cemetery this afternoon for Joseph James Crosley, aged 70 years, who died at his home in Bokchito Wednesday afternoon at 1:30 of a heart attack.

He had been a resident of Bokchito for 23 years coming there from Jackson, Miss., where he was born November 8, 1870. He had been ill four weeks.

Mr. Crosley was a retired railroad man and a member of the Baptist church. Burial was in the Bokchito cemetery with Gus Pool and Son directing.

Surviving him are four sons, Clarence, Calif.; Jess, Canadian, Texas; Orient, Bokchito; and Douglas, Durant; and four daughters, Mrs. Lizzie Yeary, Krum, Texas; Mrs. Mary Ford, Durant; Mrs. Cleo Yeary, Krum; and Mrs. Lucy Click, California.

J.J. Crosley lived in McLennan County, Texas in 1880 and in 1900 in Parker, Texas. In 1920 he lived in Caddo, Bryan County, Oklahoma then in 1930 in Bokchito, OK. His wife's name is Lucine Agnes Josephine Walton. In one census, she is listed as Kerry A.
