Obituary: SHIRLEY FUQUA. Shirley Ann Engeman Fuqua, 52, St. Jo, died Friday morning at a St. Jo hospital.
Born Dec. 2, 1933, in Wathena, a daughter of Clarence and Opal Moss Engeman, she lived here until 1958 when she moved to St. Jo. Mrs. Fuqua was a homemaker and attended the South Park Assembly of God Church, St. Jo.
Surviving are her husband, Richard Fuqua of the home; two sons, Andy Swope, St. Jo and Ricky Fuqua of the home; three sisters, June Mills, Wellsville, Beulah Smith, Lebo, and Peggy Gnegy, K.C., Mo., and a grandson.
Services were held Monday afternoon at Harman's Chapel, Wathena. Rev. Robert Flach officiated. Burial was in Bellemont cemetery, Wathena.
Pallbearers were Billy and Lonnie Smith, Chuck Weeks, Dave Perdy, Virgil Reichle, and David Highfill. Honorary pallbearers were Sam Swope, Jason Chandler and Harold Moss.
