Everett Cummings, 78, 0f Fort Collins, died Aug., 28, 2005, in Windsor.
A memorial service will be at 3 p.m. Wednesday at Resthaven Funeral Home Chapel. Inurnment will be at Resthaven Memory Gardens following the service.
Everett Cummings was born Oct. 28, 1926, in Calhan to Dora A. Bresser and Galen W. Cummings.
He married Marian Clark on Dec. 7, 1947, in Colorado Springs.
He was a loving husband, married to his wife for 57 years, and was good to his family. He was a member of the Petroleum Accountants Club.
He was a veteran of the Air Force, serving during World War II. He served in the Philippines and in Korea.
He loved golf and was an avid supporter of the Colorado Junior Golf Association.
He was president of the Colorado High School Rodeo Association. "No" was not in his vocabulary. He loved trains. He was very generous. He was a key player in the development of DJ Basin Petroleum Fields.
Survivors include his wife, Marian Cummings, of Fort Collins; son, Gregg Cummings and wife Katherine, of Bailey; daughter, Sharaline Olsen and husband Dirk, of Loveland; brother Edwin Cummings and wife Faye, of Colorado Springs; grandchildren, Kaitlyn Cummings, of Bailey, and Cory and Kaeley Olsen, of Loveland. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Doris Schmitz.
