SURFMAN DIES - The body of Elmore Gray, young Coast Guard man formerly of Avon, Dare County, who died while stationed at Coast Guard Station No. 2, Long Branch, New Jersey, was brought to this city Monday and sent to his old home for burial via the Supply Boat of the Seventh District. The widow of Mr. Gray accompanied the glad draped casket to Avon. She was called to Long Branch last week where her husband was taken with appendicitis.
