Abigail Connor married Benjamin Penrose in 1804 Monongalia, VA (later West VA). Abigail and Benjamin Penrose had nine children: Elizabeth (Fredus McDonald); Grace (Jesse B. Smith); Sarah Ann (Francis DeWitt); William (Elizabeth Amentrout); Benjamin; Jesse (Mary A. Cochran); Abigail (Amos Wilson); Matilda; and Amanda (James D. Phillips). After Benjamin's death in 1828, Abigail married widower Samuel House, who died within a few months of the marriage. In 1840 Abigail married Abraham Householder in Knox County OH. During the 1850 census Abram, 67 years old, born in PA, was living with wife Abigail, 61 years old and born in VA. By the 1860 census, they had moved to Marshall County IN where several of Amanda's adult Penrose children were living. An unmarried daughter, Matilda was living in the household with Abram and Abigail Householder. When they died in the early 1860s, Abram and Abigail were buried in South Union Cemetery in Napanee, IN. (Elkhart Co. Several of Amanda's adult Penrose children are also buried in the South Union Cemetery.
