The oldest daughter of Admiral George Dewey Nicholson and Inez Fincham.

Loving and devoted wife of Garland David Tharp.

Married: July 3, 1936 in Ridgeway, Berkeley County, WV.

When Inez Nicholson abruptly abandoned her five youngest children (who were found trying to care for themselves) a young, and newly married Ginny, and husband Garland, raised Ginny's siblings in her home so they would not be separated by the state.
