Bob was born in Milwaukee and raised in Detroit, Mi. until the death of his mother in 1934 at which time he went to live with his father in Manitowoc, Wisconsin. He attended St. John's Military Academy and St. Lawrence College. He served in the military during WWII and was a gunnery instructor in the Army. Bob married Elly in 1948. He worked in the family owned company as VP of National Tinsel Mfg. Co. for many years. Bob and Elly retired to Florida.
