Severely wounded at Fort Harrrison, below Richmond.
"I was in the battle of the Wilderness, Seven Pine, Spottsylvania,Gaines Mills, Gordonville, Malvern Hill, Deep bottom, Fort Harrison, Chickahominy. I was in five Charges at Peterburg at the blow-up. I surrendered at Appamatox on April 9,1865."
