OBITUARY - CLARK

John A. Clark, a well known and respected citizen, died suddenly at his farm home near Arlington on Monday, May 2. While Mr. Clark had been in poor health for some time his sudden demise was so unexpected that it came as a shock to his many friends. John A. lark was born March 5, 1867, in Cottage Grove, Minn., being 66 years of age at the time of his death. Besides his widow, Mrs. Emma Clark, he leaves to mourn his loss two sons by a former marriage, John W. and James T. Clark of Windham, Montana. The present family includes three sons, L. W. Clark of Windham, Montana, Harry A. Clark of Parshall, N. D., and P. J. Clark at home; also three daughters, Mrs. Norville Smith of Seattle, Mrs. Leo Rawley of Marysville and Mrs. Fred Crum at home. Another daughter, Mrs. Stella McArdle, late of Tagus, N. Dakota, is deceased.

He is also survived by two sisters and one brother, Mrs. Rose E. Rodgers of Anacortes, Mrs. Catherine McGraw of Litchfield, Minn., and Thomas H. Clark of Callaway, Minn. and 16 grand children. Services were conducted Wednesday forenoon at 10 o'clock at the Catholic Church, interment being made at Arlington cemetery under auspices of A. H. Moll. Mr. and Mrs. Clark came west from Minnesota seven years ago and have resided at their present location the past six years. Mr. Clark made many friends during his residence here and all join in extending to the bereaved family their sincere sympathy.

We wish to extend our thanks to the kind neighbors and friends who gave us their aid and sympathy during the illness and death of our beloved husband and father, and also for the beautiful floral offerings.
