Archa Dee Evans, 92, passed away Friday, January 22, 1982, at a Greenville hospital.

Funeral service was held Monday at the First Baptist Church with the Rev. James Simpson and Mr. Connie Hollis officiating. Burial was in the Leonard Cemetery.

Born Dec. 18, 1889, in Morgantown, Ky., he was the son of Mr. and Mrs. George Evans. He married Dollie Key Aug. 14, 1910, in Delba. He was a retired farmer and a member of the First Baptist Church.

Surviving are his wife of Leonard; sons, Lewis Evans and Clifton Evans, both of Leonard, R. O. Evans of Dallas, Mac Evans of Garland and Kenneth Evans of Fort Worth; daughters, Mary Sudderth of Mesquite, Geneva Kincaid of Leonard, Ruth Robinson of Dallas and Theresa Lou Kitchens of Irving; brothers, Ernest Evans, Clarence Evans, Lawrence Evans and Ray Evans; sister, Grace Thompson of Leonard; 21 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by two daughters.

Taylor Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
