Mrs. Marks was born Oct. 6, 1920, in Sharon, a daughter of John Metz Sr. and Elizabeth Sabol Metz.
She was a lifelong area resident and a 1938 graduate of Sharon High School.
Helen retired in 1978 from the former Sharon Transformer Division of Westinghouse Electric Corp., where she was employed for 40 years.
She was a member of Our Lady of Fatima-St. Ann's Church, Farrell.
Helen and her husband loved to travel and spend time in Florida. She also enjoyed gardening and flowers.
Her husband of nearly 50 years, Ralph T. Marks Jr., whom she married Oct. 25, 1947, passed away June 6, 1997.
Surviving are several nieces and nephews, including Mary Ellen Shiller and her husband Paul, Austintown, Ohio; and Paul A. Kirila and his wife Joanne, Mason, Ohio, whom she helped raise; also many great-nieces and -nephews, including Beth and Danny Shiller; and Jennifer, Paul, Jonathon and Scott Kirila.
Besides her husband, Helen was preceded in death by her parents; four brothers, John, Joseph, Michael and George Metz; and two sisters, Mary Lescisin and Betty Kirila.
Interment: St. Michael's Cemetery, Hermitage.
