Father of: (with Margaret "Maggie" Taylor) married on Aug 3, 1885 in Sequoyah County, Oklahoma.

• ♥ Fannie (Overtaker) Shanks Seaton - 77yo
• Ruth Margaret "Mag" (Overtaker) Kemp (1899- ) (1/2 Cherokee)
• Carnell "Emma" (Overtaker) Gragg - 65yo

(In a typed interview registering his daughters, Fannie & Maggie on Dawes Cherokee Indian Roll in Aug, 1900. John stated he was 40 yrs old, his mother was Annie Overtaker who had died about 10 yrs earlier, and father Charles Overtaker had died during the war approx 1963).

Aug 6, 1900 Maggie McKinney was trying to register her children, Daniel and Nellie to the Cherokee Dawes Roll. She stated her husband was dead. Have a copy of that testimony and there are links on Ancestry.
