Mrs. George M Dews Died In Chattanooga

Mrs. George M Dews, formerly of this city, died in Chattanooga yesterday morning at ten o'clock after a short illness. The deceased has been an invalid for a number of years.
The news of Mrs. Dews death will be recieved in this city with much regret as she lived here prior to moving to Chttanooga. She was 65 years old and is survived by a sister, Mrs. Mary Woodruff, and a niece, Miss Ruby Woodruff, of this city.
The late Professor George M Dews, her husband, was the first superintendent of the Columbus Public schools and resided in this city for a number of years. Prof. Dews was interred in this city about twenty years ago.
The remains of Mrs. Dews will be brought to this city Friday morning over the Southern Train and the interment will be in Linwood cemetery. The following, will be the pallbearers. C H Allen, Charles A Lovelace, J A Kirven, John S Matthews, W J Woodall and George S Hamberger.
