Rick was the son of Tom & Pauline Howell. He served in the U.S. Army & was a Vietnam veteran. He continued his service in the Army Reserves and retired as a Lt. Colonel. Rick was the Technical Service Manager for Bridgestone/Firestone in the South Central Region, his career with Bridgestone began in 1977. Rick was an avid outdoorsman enjoying camping, hiking and especially fishing. He volunteered his time as Troop Leader with the Boy Scouts and held a black belt in karate as well as a martial arts instructor.
Rick leaves behind his loving wife Patsy, they would have celebrated their 4th anniversay on April 18th. He is survived by his 3 children, Tia, Richard and David. His stepsons Johnny, Mike, Terry and Jeff Williams.
Also, his Bridgestone family who will miss him greatly & whom they shared so much: Noel Hickman, Chuck Billman, John Orr, Buddy Kirkwood, Jason Ward, Mack Bishop, T.J. Tennent, Jerry Bacon, Luke Davis, Mike Dulusque and Boone Chang.
He was highly respected and loved by all who knew him.
Rick was taken much too soon at the age of 56 from a stroke.
