Born Oct. 26, 1942, in Rouseville, he was a son of the late John and Margaret (King) Toy.
He is survived by his stepmother, Bev Toy of North Carolina.
Mr. Toy served in the United States Navy.
In July 1968, he married Gloria Diane Carcella, and she preceded him in death Nov. 19, 2005.
He had previously worked as a welder for General Electric in Erie.
He enjoyed his family, playing guitar and woodworking.
He is survived by two children, Eric Toy of Punxsutawney and Cheryl Ann Gemmell and husband Eric of Colorado Springs, Colo.; and two grandchildren, Andrea and John J. Gemmell.
He also is survived by a brother, Chuck Toy and wife Dee of Nebraska; three sisters, Barb Whaley and husband Ben of North Carolina, Francene Sailor and husband Day of Edinboro, and Bev Wood and husband Tom of Oil City.
In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by a brother, Matt Edwards.
Interment at Bowers Cemetery, Gaskill Township.
