Abbott was born about January 1844; Daniel Witham Abbott was born on 26 April 1845 in Lexington, Somerset County, Maine; Susan Jane Abbott was born on 24 March 1849 in Lexington, Somerset County, Maine; Laura Ann Abbott was born on 23 May 1850 in Illinois. Laura died 15 February 1885 in Eustis, Franklin County, Maine.

Their children were: Infant Abbott; Cora Leone Abbott was born on 30 March 1868 in Dead River Plantation, Somerset County, Maine; Herman Abbott was born about 1873; Laura Abbott was born in 1876 in Auburn, Androscoggin County, Maine; and Linn Boynton Abbott was born on 12 June 1877 in Auburn, Androscoggin County, Maine.
