FLORENCE ALTON

Florence E. Alton, 82, of 1202 E. Sumner St., Hartford, died Wednesday, Oct 5 at Gateway Nursing Home, Hartford.

She was born Oct. 26, 1900 in Hartford the daughter of George and Ivy Crowfoot Alton.

Prior to her retirement she had been employed as a dental assistant for Dr. R.O. Klink and a medical assistant to Dr. E.C. Quackenbush for many years.

She was a member of the First United Methodist Church and Royal Neighbors.

Survivors include a sister, Mildred Zurn of Hartford, nieces, nephews and other relatives. She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother and a sister.

Funeral services were held on Friday October 7th, at the Berndt Funeral Home. Rev Verlin Wandrey officiated. Interment was in Union Cemetery.

Memorials to the First United Methodist Church will be appreciated.

Note: She is buried in the family plot with her parents.
