Former Bridgeport resident Geraldine M. Sobotka, 64, died Thursday at a Sanford, Fla., hospital after a long illness.
Mrs. Sobotka lived in Bridgeport for 20 years before moving to Deltona, Fla., about eight years ago. She was the manager of Sobotka Trucking of Deltona. Her husband, John Sr., died in April and a son, John Jr., died in February.
Surviving are four daughters, Sue Ann Gifford of Cicero, Mary Ann Cowen of Osteen, Fla., Patricia Bumgarner of Rural Hall, N.C., and Sandra Thomas of Deltona; a brother, Floyd Joslin of Cicero; 12 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Watson Funeral Home and 11 a.m. in St. Michael's Church, both in Central Square. Burial will be in Hillside Cemetery, Central Square.
Calling hours will be 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home, 206 S. Main St.
Contributions may be made to the American Lung Association or the American Heart Association.
