Died February 13, 1951 in Korea Private First Class Keller was a member of the 15th Infantry Regiment, 3rd Infantry Division. He was Killed in Action while fighting the enemy in South Korea on February 13, 1951. Private First Class Keller was awarded the Purple Heart, the Combat Infantryman's Badge, the Korean Service Medal, the United Nations Service Medal, the National Defense Service Medal, the Korean Presidential Unit Citation and the Republic of Korea War Service Medal.

Died in Towa Li, South Korea

Burial September 28, 1951 Ft. McPherson Cemetery.

Rod was born in Lincoln, Nebraska the only son of Vere A. and Wilma Keller. He spent his youth and teen years in Lincoln and graduated from Lincoln High School. Shortly after his graduation the family including his only sister JoAnne moved to North Platte, Nebraska.
