US ARMY Ret. Lt. Col. WILLIAM JOHN GLEASON JR.
Enlisted 1943, stationed in Puerto Rico 1943-1946. Placed in reserves 1946. Returned to active duty in 1952 and received commission as Second Lieutenant. Stationed at Ft. Leonard Wood, MO March of 1952, then left for Korea (Inchon) that November. His wife Dolores accompanied him to Japan and returned to the U.S., Seattle, WA on June 6, 1955. In 1955, he was then sent to Ft. Belvoir, VA and worked in Washington D.C. He served with the Signal Corps in the Pentagon 1960-66 during the Viet Nam War. Assigned to the General Headquarters Staff of the Army of the Pacific serving as Executive Officer at Fort Shafter in Honolulu, Hawaii 1966-1969. Retired after 20 years of service as promised to his wife, and forfeiting his upcoming promotion to full Colonel.
Militaty Awards: Army Commendation Medal (3 times) Legion of Merit.

Graduate: East High School Buffalo, NY - all-high cross country team honors. Chosen as an outstanding athlete of Western New York.
Graduate: University of Maryland - Business Administration, magna cum laude 1959 (Master's)
Graduate: George Washington University - Governmental Administration 1965 (Master's)

Member: Catholic War Veteran Post of St. Mary Magdalene Church No. 1063 Buffalo, NY.
Past Commander of former VFW Post No. 9216.
