Ona was the daughter of Samuel Joseph Sebree and Mary Elizzabeth Whitworth Sebree. She was only a baby when her mother died and was raised by her grandmother Martha Ann Lee Whitwoth. She married Herbert Orin Adams, October 16, 1932. December 20, 1933 she gave birth to twin girls, Deloris Joan and Doris Jean. Both babies died only days apart at eleven months old after drinking bad cows milk.
