WIFE OF TOMMY JAY CUNNINGHAM
Mom was born January 25, 1919, at their home near Ord, Nebraska, to Angus and Sylvia Zinkon Martz. The family moved to Whittier, CA, when Mom was in early grade school.
After graduating from Whittier High School and while attending Fullerton Junior College, she worked as an usherette and the movie theatre, where she met Tommy J. Cunningham. They married June 20, 1941. Mom was working for the phone company, and Daddy worked for Associated Oil Co. before going into the Coast Guard. It was then they started their family. After the war Daddy rejoined Associated a few years before moving the family to the Tidewater lease outside of Fellows in 1954. They moved to Taft in 1967. Daddy passed away in 1995.
Mom was active in the Methodist Church and the West Kern Oil Museum, and enjoyed sewing, cooking, and crafting. She was able to tour Europe in 1973 with her sister.

Mom is survived by her sister Beth and Lee Crumbley of Balboa, daughters Cheryl Hofer of Lewiston, ID, Judy and Jerry Fuson of Taft, and Diane Evans of Chico, 7 grandchildren, and 13 great grandchildren.
