Marc William Burns 25, of Oakland, MD, passed away Sunday, September 12, 2010, at Western Maryland Health Center, a result of injuries occurring from an automobile accident.

Born June 13, 1985 in Oakland, MD, he was the son of Mark Whitacre and the late Concetta Burns. He was also preceded in death by paternal grandparents Bernard and Vivian Burns.

Marc was employed as a construction laborer.

Surviving in addition to his father is: step- grandmother and grandfather Orval and Betty (Whitacre) DeWitt, Oakland, MD, one sister, Angelica Thayer, Virginia Beach, VA, uncles, Onie Whitacre, Gary and wife Loretta Whitacre, Tim Whitacre; aunts, Melissa Whitacre, Marlena Whitacre and Rita Kerns, all of Oakland, MD.

The family will receive friends at the David A. Burdock Funeral Home, P.A., 21 N. 2nd Street, Oakland, MD, Friday, September 17, 2010 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m .

Funeral services will be Friday, September 17, 2010 at 2 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with the Rev. Ivan Ackerman officiating. Interment will be in the Deer Park Cemetery.
