Mary Shamburek, age 88, of the Manitowoc Health Care Center, formerly of Reedsville, died Wednesday, December 9, 1998, at the center.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:45 a.m. Saturday, December 12, 1998, at St. Mary Catholic Church, Reedsville. Rev. Tom Long will officiate with burial in the parish cemetery.
She was born on June 14, 1910, in the town of Franklin, daughter of the late Wencil and Mary (Schuber) Novachek. On October 4, 1941, she married George Shamburek Sr. in Kellnersville. She worked at Chilton Metal Products and was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church, Reedsville, an honorary member of the Christian Mothers.
Survivors include two sons and daughter-in-law, ; one daughter and son in law ; five grandchildren ; three great grandchildren, ; one sister, Clara Schmidt, Manitowoc; one brother, William Novachek Sr., Kellnersville; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband on February 23, 1986; one sister and one brother.
Friends may call at the Wieting Fruneral Home, Reedsville, from 4-8 p.m. Friday and on Saturday from 10-11:30 a.m. when Family Rites will be held. There will be a parish vigil at 7 p.m. Friday.
