Elizabeth C. Gilbert, 90, of Quincy, passed away on , Jan. 7, 2012 at her home.

A graveside service will be Lakeview Cemetery in Quincy.

Elizabeth was born Feb. 14, 1921 in Coldwater, MI to Blaine and Minnie (Hurley) Paradine.

She married Wilfred J. Gilbert on November 9, 1952 in Coldwater. He preceded her in death on November 11, 1990.

Mrs. Gilbert had spent most of her life as a dedicated wife, mother and homemaker.

She had formerly worked for Hillsdale Manufacturing and Quality Springs in Coldwater.

Elizabeth had been an Al-Quinn 4-H leader and a Brownie Troop leader.

She enjoyed the outdoors, raking leaves, cooking and crocheting, but most of all she loved to spend time with her family.

Elizabeth is survived by her son David (Bonnie) Gilbert, her daughter Becky (Patrick) Gibbs, her sister Frances (Leland) Carpenter , her grandchildren and her beloved pet Bo.

In addition to her husband, she was also preceded in death by her brothers James and Woodrow Paradine.
