A son of Joseph A. and Emma Kleine Hamlin.
His marriage to Mary B. Wagner took place Septermber 8, 1937 at St. Joseph's Utica.
Besides his wife, Captain Hamlin is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Charles (Mary Joan) Hamlin, Watertown; four grandchildren, David, Karen, Kristen and Rebecca Hamlin of Watertown; two brothers, Charles E. Hamlin, Oneida Lake, Paul J. Hamlin, Utica; one sister, Mrs. Josephine Rielley, Sherril; one aunt, Mabel Hamblin, Oneida Lake and several nieces and nephews.
