Kittie was divorced from William Smith Perine of Baldwinsville, Onondaga Co., New York. When she died their girls, Francis "Flo" and Jane "Jennie" Perine, went to live with Charlie and Amelia Lang in Fulton, Oswego, New York, until they married Lennox brothers.
Her death record lists her as "Kate Penine" [should be Perine], New York City Municipal Deaths, 1795-1949 on familysearch.org, lists Kate's occupation as "Manageress of cigar stand", Manhattan, New York.
Also Leila Perine, wife of Presbyterian Rev. William Luther Sawtelle and her brother William Smith Perine, children of
Dewitt McLean Pering and Jennie M. Smith, and grandchildren of Henry Perine and Amanda (Kellogg).
