Mr. Brown was survived by nine sons and daughters, Mrs. Mary Keyser, Philadelphia; Mrs. Betty Corman, Bellefonte; Mrs. Louise Richey, Castanea; Jane Smith; Anna Cruse; Frank Brown and William M. Brown of Mill Hall; Allen Brown Jr., Mill Hall RD2; and John Brown of Emporium. There were 21 grandchildren and 23 great grandchildren.
Allen was born April 6, 1885 in Lancaster County, a son of the Reverend Lewis and Amanda Hibshman Brown. Mr. Brown moved to the Mill Hall area at the age of 14 when his father served as minister of the Presbyterian Church in Mill Hall.
He married the former May Bossert who died December 3, 1949.
Allen graduated from the Central State Normal School and from Pletcher Business School in Lock Haven. He was formerly employed by the Pennsylvania Railroad at Altoona and more recently engaged in farming in Little Nittany Valley.
He was a member of the Bald Eagle and Nittany Presbyterian Church in Mill Hall, the Sons of the American Revolution and the Clinton County Historical Society.
