David H. Huffman, 71, of rural Bluffton, died at 11:15 am. Sunday, March 11, 2012, at the Bluffton Regional Medical Center.
Mr. Huffman was retired from ITT Industries in Fort Wayne. He had lived in Wells County for more than 25 years. He was an avid genealogist and fisherman. He was a member of the National Rifle Association.
Mr. Huffman was born Nov. 19, 1940, in Huntington County, to Harry Huffman and Faye Walden Huffman. He married Carol S. Kizer Nov. 24, 1965, in Spencer, Ind.; his wife survives.
Also surviving are two daughters, Dawn M. Huffman and Michelle A. Neal, both of Bluffton; two grandchildren, Sierra L. Neal and Jessie E. Neal, both of Bluffton; and two sisters, Judy Yoder of Markle and Joyce Stahl of Huntington. He was preceded in death by two brothers, George Huffman and Scotty Huffman.
Calling will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, March 14, at the Thoma./Rich, Chaney and Lemler Funeral Home, 308 W. Washington St., Bluffton. Services will be held at the funeral home at 10 a.m. Thursday with Pastor Steve Bard officiating. Burial will be at the Stahl Cemetery in Wells County.
