Charles F Hains was the owner of City Boots & Shoes in Kansas City, Kansas, which opened trade in 1857. He came to America in 1853 and settled in Altoona, Pennsylvania, and then to Kansas City in 1857. He was mayor of Wyandotte, Kansas, from 1875-1876 and was elected to the new city council in 1886 when the city was consolidated.
