Morris Tefteller 77,of Simms, Texas died Thursday June 27,2002 in a Texarkana hospital. Mr. Tefteller was born July 12,1924 in Simms. He was a retired construction worker,a Baptist and a World War II Army veteran. Survivors include one son, Jerry Allen Tefteller of Maud, Texas; one brother, Horace “Buddy” Tefteller of Maud; five sisters,Essie Bettes of Redwater, Texas; Evie Waldrum of Talco, Texas; Jewell Tutt of Maud; Vera Proctor of Texarkana; and Helen Michalak of Kingman, Ariz; five grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews. Graveside services will be 2 p.m. Sunday in Sand Hill Cemetery, Simms, under direction of Bates-Rolf Funeral Home. Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
